Trace elements are important components of life. If animals or corals suffer from undersupply, deficiencies occur, including loss of rich coloring, susceptibility to diseases or even unnatural growth. Around 70 different trace elements are dissolved in natural sea water. Many elements are supplemented by a regular change of part of the water (5 - 10% per month). But this is not sufficient, as many elements are consumed faster than they are supplemented. Trace elements are for instance also removed from the system by biological oxidation, skimming and carbon filtration. To counter such an undersupply and resulting failures, ReefStar developed through long-term tests and analyses a specific combination of trace elements for corals and lower animals. This formulation consists of the elements particularly essential and quickly consumed in the aquarium.
With ReefStar trace elements, your invertebrates and corals become more resilient, grow more naturally, show a comprehensive polyp appearance and thereby excite the spectator by their vigor and color.

Highest purity
Trace elements from ReefStar do not contain complexing agents and/or chelators and can therefore be directly consumed by the corals.
In the production of the trace elements, only high-quality raw materials are used. They do neither additionally burden the water nor do they have an impact on the ion balance.
In addition, only water of high purity is used in production. This means the trace elements do not contain phosphates, nitrates, silicates or sulphates.

Iodine element

Mainly consists of elementary iodine and is immediately available to invertebrates and corals. Iodine element is very important for the formation of red blood cells in fish. Long-term tests revealed that specifically this kind of iodine application has a very positive effect on the tissue of invertebrates and thus supports strong colorations. Elementary iodine is very light sensitive and should therefore be given in the evening after the lighting is switched off!

Dosage: Daily 1ml per 100l aquarium water.
Not fit for human consumption. Store out of reach of children.
Ingredients: Iodine and potassium iodide

Note:
Iodine Element is highly concentrated and cannot be metered out using a normal dosing pump. Please refer to the directions for use of the dosing pump manufacturer.

" Stains furniture and clothes.
" Do not use to bathe corals, since the tissue might be damaged

Description of Iodine Mix and Iodine Element
No other element has such an important function as iodine!
It promotes the molt of prawns, crabs and other invertebrates. It increases the vitality of invertebrates and prevents the formation of goiter in fish. Promotes the light acclimatization and pigmentation important for corals and higher algae.

The word iodine comes from Latin - ioeides - and means violet.
This relates to the violet vapors that iodine as a solid body forms at low temperatures.
In nature, iodine - like other halogens - never occurs in elementary form. Nonetheless, iodine is always present in small traces in the air, soil, rocks and water. In sea water, iodine has a concentration of 0.06 mg/l. Elementary iodine is extracted from algae, in which it is stored, or from sodium nitrate. As iodine is not available in water over a longer period, it should be regularly added.

To guarantee an individual supply, ReefStar developed an Iodine Mix for standard aquariums with a mix of invertebrates, and Iodine Element for specialist aquariums with a variety of stone corals, clams, xenia or cespitularia.
